Hill & Wilson Named Jimmy John’s Lions of the Week

Apr 06, 2026

SAINT LEO, Fla. – On Monday, April 6, the Saint Leo University athletic department named student-athletes Holly Hill (women's lacrosse) and Keyon Wilson (men's track & field) as the Jimmy John's Lions of the Week. The award is recognizing these student-athletes for their performances from March 30 - April 5.

Holly Hill once again showed why she leads all of division II in points as she totaled 20 points over two games. The Virginia native had 20 points on five goals and 15 assists while averaging 10.0 points and 7.5 assists per game. She shot .625 from the field with a .875 shot-on-goal percentage. Hill opened the week with one goal and six assists in a 17-12 win over Florida Tech, setting a new single-season program record with her 77th point of the year, a mark she has since pushed to 90. She also notched the game-winning goal in the victory. She followed with a 13-point performance in a 20-12 win over Palm Beach Atlantic, scoring four goals with nine assists. It marked the second time this season she has totaled 13 points with the same 4-goal, 9-assist breakdown. Her nine assists and 13 points matches the program single-game records while tying the Sunshine State Conference single-game record for points. Hill also recorded the 100th assist of her career in the win.

Junior Keyon Wilson  set a personal best in the high jump, broke the school record, and hit the provisional standard for the NCAA DII National Championship meet. With a leap of 2.05m (6'8.75ft), and on his third attempt Wilson made the best jump of his career to this date. Wilson is currently tied for 18th in the nation at the DII level.

For the 2025–26 season, Saint Leo University Athletics is proud to partner with Jimmy John's to present a new weekly award recognizing student-athletes. The award will recognize athletic competition held from Monday to Sunday.

Since launching in 1983 in Charleston, Illinois, with just a $25,000 loan from his father, Jimmy John Liautaud built his modest sandwich shop into the national chain known for its "Freaky Fast" delivery and fresh-baked bread. Over the years, the brand expanded rapidly, surpassing 2,600 locations nationwide by 2025 and even venturing internationally with openings in Seoul, Toronto, and Dubai. In 2019, Jimmy John's became part of Inspire Brands, the restaurant group that also owns Arby's, Dunkin' Donuts, and more.
