SAINT LEO, Fla. – Molly Chappell (volleyball) and James Knudson (men's soccer) have been named the latest Jimmy John's Lions of the Week as announced by the Saint Leo Athletics Department on Monday.

Molly Chappell turned in one of her strongest weeks of the season, averaging 3.3 kills per set and hitting an impressive .324 across 10 sets for Saint Leo. The junior standout opened the week with a dominant 16-kill, .433 performance at Florida Southern, followed by 10 kills on .409 hitting against Palm Beach Atlantic. Chappell also contributed 2.6 digs per set and added three total blocks, continuing to lead the Lions on both ends of the court.

James Knudson closed the regular season in dominant form, recording his fourth shutout of the year in a 2-0 win at Florida Southern. The Norwegian goalkeeper stopped all three shots he faced, including key saves late in each half to preserve the clean sheet and momentum heading into the SSC Tournament. Knudsen has now allowed one goal or fewer in five of his last six starts, anchoring a Saint Leo defense that limited the Mocs to just three shots on frame while controlling possession throughout the night

For the 2025–26 season, Saint Leo University Athletics is proud to partner with Jimmy John's to present a new weekly award recognizing student-athletes. The award will recognize athletic competition held from Monday to Sunday.
