SAINT LEO, Fla. – On Monday, February 16, the Saint Leo University athletic department named student-athletes Holly Hill (women's lacrosse) and Flynn Howard (baseball) as the Jimmy John's Lions of the Week. The award is recognizing these student-athletes for their performances for games played from February 9-15.

Holly Hill had 11 points on three goals and eight assists as then- #10 women's lacrosse went 2-0 last week. She opened the week with a goal and an assist in a 17-7 win over Colorado Mesa she also has had a ground ball. To close out the week she posted a seven-point game with two goals and five assists in a 22-4 win over Saint Michael's. Hill leads the conference in assists (10), assists per game (3.33) and points (16).

On the mound, junior pitcher Flynn Howard recorded eight strikeouts in 8.0 innings of work while allowing three runs (two earned) on seven hits with 121 pitches thrown. He improved to 3-0 on the season earning the win in a 10-3 series opening victory over Parkside. 
 

For the 2025–26 season, Saint Leo University Athletics is proud to partner with Jimmy John's to present a new weekly award recognizing student-athletes. The award will recognize athletic competition held from Monday to Sunday.
