SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo University Athletics Department has named Amy Dugan (women's basketball) and Elijah Harris (men's basketball) as the latest Jimmy John's Lions of the Week recipients as announced on Monday.

Sophomore Amy Dugan led the women's basketball team in scoring and totaled four steals in the Lions lone contest of the week against Central Missouri. This is Duggan's second most steals in a game this season, and saw her also set season highs in free throws made and rebounds with three in each respectively. 

This past week, Harris earned a role in the starting lineup in Saint Leo's three games and helped guide the Lions to a 2-1 record. The Florida native averaged 4.0 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game last week. Harris highlighted the week's performance with a career-high five steals, grabbed six boards and scored six points against Bemidji State on Friday. 

For the 2025–26 season, Saint Leo University Athletics is proud to partner with Jimmy John's to present a new weekly award recognizing student-athletes. The award will recognize athletic competition held from Monday to Sunday. 

Since launching in 1983 in Charleston, Illinois, with just a $25,000 loan from his father, Jimmy John Liautaud built his modest sandwich shop into the national chain known for its "Freaky Fast" delivery and fresh-baked bread. Over the years, the brand expanded rapidly, surpassing 2,600 locations nationwide by 2025 and even venturing internationally with openings in Seoul, Toronto, and Dubai. In 2019, Jimmy John's became part of Inspire Brands, the restaurant group that also owns Arby's, Dunkin' Donuts, and more.
