SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo Athletics has named freshman Skye Dias from women's soccer and freshman Paul Rivera from cross country as the Jimmy John's Lions of the Week award. 

Skye Dias turned in a standout performance against UAH, factoring into both of Saint Leo's goals in the 4-2 contest. The freshman forward set up fellow classmate, Ella Van Doren's first collegiate goal in the 11th minute, then added a strike of her own in the 71st to record a three-point outing. Dias finished the match with two shots, one on frame, and her combination of playmaking and scoring provided the spark for the Lions' attack. 

Paul Rivera made his debut in the 8-kilometer race this weekend at the HOKA Night Thunder XC fest, running a time of 26:54.52. Placing 14th overall, Rivera led the Lions to a second-place finish out of 12 teams competing. Rivera's mark in the 8k is also the fastest time since the reinstatement of the cross-country program at this distance.  

For the 2025–26 season, Saint Leo University Athletics is proud to partner with Jimmy John's to present a new weekly award recognizing student-athletes. The award will recognize athletic competition held from Monday to Sunday.
