SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo Athletics has selected a pair of golfers as the latest Jimmy John's Lions of the Week honorees, McKenzee Sullivan (women's golf), and Enzo Barbaglia (men's golf).
Sullivan notched a break out performance this past week in the 12th Annual LeeAnn Noble Memorial Tournament, hosted by North Georgia. The Florida native shot under par in each of her three rounds (70-70-71) to finish in a share of fifth place with a 211 (-5). Additionally, during Sullivan's final round, she tallied three consecutive birdies on holes 13, 14, and 15. Following an impressive outing, Sullivan was ranked 25th in the Scoreboard powered by Clippd individual standings.
The South African native tied for 11th at the Copperhead Championship, hosted by West Florida in Palm Harbor. Barbaglia registered one of the lowest rounds in the tournament with a 67 (-4) during the second round. He carded scores of 74, 67, and 74 for a total of 215 (+2). He helped guide the Lions to a top-10 finish as they placed eighth amongst some of the nations top teams.
For the 2025–26 season, Saint Leo University Athletics is proud to partner with Jimmy John's to present a new weekly award recognizing student-athletes. The award will recognize athletic competition held from Monday to Sunday.
Since launching in 1983 in Charleston, Illinois, with just a $25,000 loan from his father, Jimmy John Liautaud built his modest sandwich shop into the national chain known for its "Freaky Fast" delivery and fresh-baked bread. Over the years, the brand expanded rapidly, surpassing 2,600 locations nationwide by 2025 and even venturing internationally with openings in Seoul, Toronto, and Dubai. In 2019, Jimmy John's became part of Inspire Brands, the restaurant group that also owns Arby's, Dunkin' Donuts, and more.
