  • Graduated from Saint Leo Junior College in 1953. Was a member of the Track team for two years as a discus thrower and non state championship. He earned a track scholarship to _______
  • Served as student-assistant football and basketball coach with the Saint Leo Prep School teams for two years
  • Graduated from University of Florida in 1966 with degree in Health and Human Performance. Was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2003
  • Assistant sports information director from 1955-70 at University of Florida
  • Was Duke University's sports information director and assistant athletic director in charge of marketing and television from 1978-79
  • First director of marketing for NCAA from 1976-77 where he was executive producer of the ABC-TV football shows, as well as NCAA Tournament Basketball Games not aired by ABC-TV. He also was director of licensing for the NCAA for two years, and arranged and produced the first National Telecast of the Division I College Baseball World Series for HBO
  • Senior Associate Athletic Director at University of Florida in charge of External Affairs from 1978-86
  • President of Raycow University Group where he created Blockbuster Bowl and the Diet Pepsi Challenge from 1986-91
  • Athletic Director at University of Louisiana-Monroe from 1995-99
  • Currently director of athletics and chief executive officer of the Athletic Foundation of University of Southern Mississippi
  • Member of the Prestigious 24-person NCAA Football Issues Committee from 2000-2004
  • Currently member of the NCAA Championship Cabinet and a member of the postseason NCAA Football Committee which governs all bowl gams
  • A Rotarian for 22 years
