  • Father Peter, who was a Benedictine Monk, was an indispensable man to the Saint Leo athletic programs
  • He was a four-year tackle on the football team
  • After Ordination, he was a teacher, assistant coach and head coach for the Prep School teams
  • He was the first athletic director for Saint Leo College and first head basketball coach for the Monarchs when it was a Junior College
  • The basketball team was 12-8 its first season as a two-year school and was a force nationally over the next two years
  • The later part of Fr. Peter's was developed to parish work at Saint Leo's dependent parish, Saint Killian's on Long Island in New York. There he became a national expert in the treatment of alcoholism and substance abuse
  • Father Peter passed away in 1989
