John Semeraro '05 was a dual-sport athlete for Saint Leo, playing men's soccer for three seasons and competing in men's golf for all four years. He was a three-time Saint Leo Male Athlete of the Year (2003, 2004, and 2005), and earned Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors in each of those three seasons. Semeraro's best post-season outing in men's golf came in 2005, when he finished tied for 17th overall at the Sunshine State Conference Men's Golf Championship. His greatest contributions as a student-athlete came from his leadership on campus; Semeraro's involvement with Saint Leo's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) eventually led to him becoming chair of the NCAA Division II SAAC in 2005. He was the recipient of an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship in 2005.
