DAVIE, Fla. – The Saint Leo University Men's golf team improved its round score from the previous day by three strokes, shooting 291 in Round Two for an overall score of 585 (+17) Friday at the Grande Oaks Golf Club.
Freshman
Brett White had the largest turnaround of the day with a 14-stroke difference; after shooting 84 in the first round, White showed out in his hometown area with a second-round score of 70 (-1), highlighted by a four-birdie performance.
Juniors
Jake Nash,
Alex Heck, and
Francois Cilliers all shot 74 or under, with Nash shooting 73 (+2).
The Lions overall saw a vast improvement on Par 3 courses, as the Green & Gold now sit tied for fourth overall in Par 3 play (+6).

Saint Leo will look to make one final push at securing a bid to the NCAA National Championships in Saturday's third and final round of the NCAA South/Southeast Regional. The Lions will tee off in a threesome with Spring Hill College and Limestone. Tee time for the Lions' first group is set for 7:30 a.m.
