NORMAN, Okla. –  The Saint Leo men's golf program has been recognized by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) with the 2024-25 Platform Golf Team Academic Award, underscoring the team's commitment to excellence in the classroom.

As part of a record-setting 292 programs across all collegiate divisions honored by the GCAA, Saint Leo stood out among only 19 NCAA Division II schools to receive Presidents Special Recognition—awarded to teams maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher during the academic year.

This accolade is a reflection of the dedication and discipline of Saint Leo's student-athletes and coaching staff, who continue to uphold the university's tradition of academic and athletic excellence.

The GCAA's Platform Team Academic Award, supported by PLATFORM Golf, honors programs across NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, NAIA, NJCAA Divisions I and II, and HBCUs. The award showcases the holistic development of collegiate golfers, emphasizing success beyond competition.
