VALDOSTA, Ga. – The Saint Leo University Men's golf team came away from the Southeastern Intercollegiate with a seventh-place finish out of 18 teams Tuesday at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club.
The Lions came away tied with Barry for the best score on Par 3 courses throughout the invitational (+2) and posted the fifth-most birdies (42).
Junior
Alex Heck had a strong showing throughout the tournament, placing sixth overall with a score of 212 (71/71/70), -4 and was three strokes away from individual champion Beck Burnette from Lee. The Franklin, Ind. native tied for second overall on the Par 5 courses, shooting six under.
While Junior
Jake Nash finished tied for 30th overall, the native of Sarasota, Fla. had the second-best Par 3 score (-2), only seeing Barry's Santiago Chamorro posting a better mark.

The Green & Gold return to the Peach State March 20-21, travelling further north to Eatonton, Ga. for the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Georgia College.
