LAKELAND, Fla. – The Saint Leo University Men's golf team opened the Spring 2023 portion of its season Monday in roaring fashion, finishing Day One tied for second with a score of 593, +17 and trailing the current leader, Tampa, by six strokes.
Junior
Jake Nash sits in fifth after two rounds, shooting 145, +1, seven strokes behind the individual leader. Junior
Francois Cilliers is currently tied for eighth with a score of 147, +3, and finished the first day tied for third with the best Par 4 score.
After shooting 78 in the first round, freshman
Mathieu Lafontaine improved Round Two, shooting 70 to jump up to a tie for 12th with a score of 148, +4. Lafontaine recorded nine birdies with one eagle.
