COLUMBUS, Ga. – After two rounds of play, the Saint Leo University Men's golf teams sits tied for eighth overall out of 12 teams, shooting 591, +31 Monday in the Cougar Invitational at Green Island Country Club.
The Green & Gold struggled in Round One, shooting 303, +23. Out of the break, the clubs found a revival in the second round, as the Lions shot the second-best score at 288, +8.
Sophomore
Carl Hellat had the biggest jump out of all the golfers in player standings from round-to-round (28 spots), tying for 11th with an overall score of 144 (76/68), +4. Sophomore
Alex Heck (148, +8) tied for the third-most pars (26) after two rounds.
