ORMOND BEACH, Fla. – The Saint Leo women's tennis team finished day one of the Sunshine State Conference Championships tied in third place with Lynn and Florida Southern. The Lions put together a score of 302 (+18) at the Plantation Bay Golf & Country Club.
 
Francesca Santoni shot a 73 (+2) to sit seventh in the conference competition. Synne Lauritzen will enter day two of the three-day tournament in 14^th place after shooting 75 (+4).
 
Cajsa Strandberg and Pia Perthen earned a score of 77 (+6) in 22^nd place followed by Laurence Lamer in 32^nd place with a mark of 79 (+8).
 
The Lions will continue their work by competing in the SSC Championship on Monday, April 11 at 8:00 a.m.
