ACWORTH, Ga. – The 22nd-ranked Saint Leo women's golf team placed seventh in the Bentwater Women's Collegiate, hosted by Kennesaw State, at the Bentwater Golf Course on Tuesday afternoon. The Lions recorded a final overall score of 940 (+76).
The Green & Gold were led by redshirt senior
Maya Cote, who finished in a share of sixth after posting a 228 (+12) that featured eight birdies across the three rounds. Sophomore
Iza Stahlevi tied for 19th with a 233 (+17) as she fired an 870 in the first followed by a 75 and 78.
Freshman
McKenzee Sullivan completed her tournament tied for 36th as she registered a 239 (+23). Sullivan's tournament was highlighted by an eagle on hole three during Monday's first round.
Rounding out the Lions lineup was senior
Ana Valentina-Guarderas, who notched a 243 (+27) as he round featured five birdies.
Saint Leo returns to action on Monday, March 30 as it competes in the opening day of the Lynn Invitational with a start time of 8 a.m.
