Box Score LAKELAND, Fla. – The Saint Leo men's tennis team, who is ranked third in the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) national poll, rolled over Florida Southern, ranked 12
th, 7-0 in the Lions first road competition of the season. The Top-15 sweep improved the Green and Gold's record to 2-0, 2-0 in the Sunshine State Conference (SSC) and registers a perfect match streak as the Lions have yet to surrender a team match point.
The doubles pairings remained the same from the previous lineup against Eckerd in the Lions' season opener but saw the first and second doubles spots flipped.
Bruno Faletto and
Nicolas Bacella's work in third singles helped picked up the sweep. The duo clinched a 7-5 decision to wrap up doubles action.
Christopher Traut made his first Saint Leo match appearance competing in both doubles and singles action. The sophomore from Eichenau, Germany earned a stainless 6-0 in first doubles with Alex Parker and posted a fifth singles 6-1, 6-3 win.
Ghali Mensour prevailed in a three-set battle. The junior from Casablanca, Morocco handed in a 6-3, 6-7 (9), 1-0 (5) sixth singles decision.

Keeping Our Lions Healthy & Safe
Saint Leo University Athletics is keeping our student-athletes healthy and safe by following a number of measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This includes having student-athletes tested or screened on a regular basis, traveling in smaller groups, holding competitions without fans in attendance, avoiding overnight trips, and wearing masks when not competing. These safety standards meet those set by the NCAA Division II and the Sunshine State Conference President's Council. At Saint Leo University, the COVID-19 Incident Command Team also reviews the teams' safety protocol and monitors adherence on a regular basis.
