MIAMI SHORES, Fla. — The Saint Leo Lions men's tennis saw its NCAA Tournament run come to an end Tuesday with a 4–1 loss to top-ranked Barry Buccaneers men's tennis at the Buccaneer Tennis Center.
Saint Leo battled closely in doubles play, highlighted by a strong 7–6 (7–3) win from Eduardo Cohen and Shay Sarfati at No. 2 doubles. However, Barry secured the doubles point with victories at No. 1 and No. 3, including a tightly contested tiebreak win in the third position.
In singles, Barry quickly built momentum with straight-set wins at No. 1, No. 4, and No. 6 singles. The Lions' lone point came from Jose David Segovia, who earned an impressive 6–4, 6–3 win over second-ranked Yan Kodjoed at No. 2 singles.
Two additional Saint Leo singles matches remained unfinished, including Mahit Mekala leading in the second set and Eduardo Cohen battling into a third set before the match was clinched. The Lions finish the season with a 16–5 overall record after advancing to the NCAA Tournament regional round.
This concludes the 2026 Men's Tennis Season.
