SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association honored 13 Saint Leo Lions among its 2018 ITA All-Academic Awards recently released. Both the men's and women's Saint Leo tennis teams were named ITA All-Academic teams paired with five women's tennis scholar-athletes and eight of the men's program. All eligible players of the men's tennis team made the esteemed list. Representing Saint Leo were

Andrada Gordan,
Thomas Grinberg,
Vincent Suillerot,
Jaime Bueno,
Francisco Aparicio,
James Defusto,
Willem Van Den Akker,
Aurel Ciocanu and
Bruno Babic.
The ITA All-Academic Team was awarded to programs that reached a cumulative 3.20 GPA or higher during the 2017-18 academic year. ITA Scholar-Athletes are required to be a varsity letter winner, obtain a 3.50 GPA or higher during the current academic year and have been enrolled at their present school for two semesters.
