SAINT LEO, Fla. – The No. 7 Saint Leo men's tennis team rolled over Hillsdale 7-2 on Tuesday. The non-conference victory raises the Lions' overall record to 5-0.
Saint Leo took one of three doubles matches. No. 2 doubles partners
Jaime Bueno and
Willem Van Den Akker defeated John Ciraci and Dugan Delp 8-6.
Despite entering singles play down 2-1, Saint Leo rolled over Hillsdale 6-0 to clinch the win. No. 1
Thomas Grinberg earned a 6-1, 6-0 decision, no. 2
Vincent Suillerot similarly posted a 6-0, 6-1 win.
Jaime Bueno won no. 3 singles 6-3, 6-1 followed by
Bruno Babic's 6-1, 6-2 no. 4 win.
Francisco Aparicio defeated no. 5 opponent 6-3, 6-2 while no. 6
Willem Van Den Akker posted a 6-2, 6-2 victory.
On Friday, March 9 at 3:00 p.m. the Saint Leo Lions will face No. 25 Concordia College – New York in Lake Nona, Fla. at the USTA National Campus courts.
