PENSACOLA, Fla. – The No.7 Saint Leo men's tennis team put up a 5-1 "clinch" match final over Georgia College to improve the Lions' season record to 10-0.
After a weekend filled with rain delays and multiple teams waiting for court time at the West Florida Tournament, the Lions and Bobcats agreed to play first to five, a "clinch" match.
"Georgia College played a good match against us today," expressed head coach
Chad Berryhill. "Credit to our guys on short rest and numerous rain delays to stay focused and get the job done. This was a good weekend for our team but we know we have a lot to work on once we get home."
Jaime Bueno and
Willem Van Den Akker improve a 9-0 season record together. The no.2 duo recorded an 8-5 win followed by no.3
Bruno Babic and
Francisco Aparicio also grabbing an 8-5 decision.
Up 2-1 after doubles play, no.1
Thomas Grinberg posted a 6-1, 6-2 win followed by no.5
Francisco Aparicio's 7-5, 6-2 match win and no.6
Willem Van Den Akker who earned a 6-3, 6-2 final.

Bruno Babic left their matches unfinished.
On Thursday, March 22 at 3:00 p.m. Saint Leo will face the Washburn in a neutral site match at the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, Florida.
