SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo men's tennis team announced its 16-match 2019 slate. The 2018 defending regular season Sunshine State Conference Champions will showcase nine home matches. Four-of-nine matches will host Sunshine State Conference opponents.
 
Saint Leo will see SSC competition early against Lynn on February 16 starting at 11 a.m. in the program's season home opener. The Lions will also host the Florida Tech Panthers (March 19), Eckerd (April 3), and Embry-Riddle (April 17).
 
In non-conference action, the Lions are set to host Lander (March 3), Wayne State (March 7), Walsh (March 8), Ferris State (March 12), and West Florida (April 6).
 
Lions fans will see a number of rule changes while cheering on the Green and Gold at the Saint Leo Tennis Center. Among the list of changes, the final score of matches will now be best of seven team points. Scoring at the NCAA Division II level will now match Division I scoring. The team that wins two-of-three doubles matches receives one point. No-ad scoring will be used for both doubles and singles matches. In addition, doubles sets will now be played to six instead of the previous eight game pro set.
