SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo men's swimming team downed Tampa 149-113 on Friday in the Marion Bowman Aquatics Center. The Lions won all six freestyle events (1000 Yard, 500 Yard, 400 Yard Relay, 200 Yard, and 100 Yard) on their way to lifting the program's overall record to 4-1.
Matija Rafaj won all three of his individual freestyle races: 1,000 (9:44.88), 200 (1:42.45), and the 500 (4:38.12).
Christian Cioffi won the 50 Yard Freestyle (21.34) and 100 Yard Freestyle (46.63). Cioffi,

Hunter Bains took first in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay (3:05.66).
Saint Leo took the top three finishes in the 200 Yard Backstroke.
Clayton Howerton (1:54.03),
Ismail Lahrichi (2:01.88) and
Kane Klimczak (2:03.00) swept the Spartans.
Georgios Veliadis won both of his events, earning a 1:52.47 mark in the 200 Yard Butterfly, and a 50.77 time in the 100 Yard Butterfly. Veliadis with

Hunter Bains and Vulic took first in the 200 Yard Medley Relay.
Milosz Mikicin added a first place finish in the 100 Yard Backstroke (50.59) while
Henrik Dahrendorff won the 100 Yard Breaststroke (58:46).
The men are back in action on Saturday, February 27 at Florida Tech starting at 2:00 p.m. The road meet will close out Saint Leo's regular season before heading to the Sunshine State Conference Championships starting on Thursday, February 22 in Clearwater, Fla.
