MELBOURNE, Fla. - The Sunshine State Conference announced its All-SSC swimming teams Wednesday morning, as freshman swimmer Lucas Mineur was selected as a member of the All-SSC Second Team.

Eighteen student-athletes have been selected to the 2022-23 All-SSC Men's Swimming Teams. Voting for the awards was conducted among the Sunshine State Conference men's swimming coaches.

"I'm very proud of Lucas. He's one of the team's hardest-working young men, " said head coach Michael Southward. "With such a wide variety of events, it was fun seeing him change gears from sprint to distance every day. He has a bright future in front of him and I'm excited to see what it holds."

Mineur had a very impressive freshman campaign for the Green & Gold in the 2022-23 season. The freshman from Taissy, France earned a top finish for the Lions during the second day of the SSC Championships, medaling in the 50 free touching the wall at 20.01.

Mineur competed in several events throughout the year and will look to continue his success during Nationals. Mineur will compete in the 50 free, 400 individual medley, 200 fly, 100 free, and be apart of Saint Leo's 4x200 free relay quartet.
