DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Saint Leo men's tennis ran the table for an undefeated day in singles competition and nearly matched that feat in doubles play, during day one at the 2017 Bethune-Cookman Juan Varon Wildcat Invitational, played on the clay courts at the Florida Tennis Center.

Highlights of the day included Thomas Grinberg's 6-4, 6-4 win over Keiser University's Vicente Lagos; Lagos was a finalist in the NAIA singles competition at the ITA Oracle Cup.

In doubles competition, the Saint Leo tandem of Bruno Babic and Francisco Aparicio upended Embry-Riddle's top doubles pairing of Andres Donayre and Rodolfo Arreygue, 6-4. Donayre/Arreygue won the doubles competition at the ITA South Region Championship earlier this Fall.

Competition continues on Saturday at the Juan Varon Wildcat Invitational in the round-robin format tournament.
