SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo University Women's basketball team recently announced the promotion of Nola Carter to Assistant Coach.
 
Carter spent the previous year as the team's Graduate Assistant coach, contributing to a staff that led the Lions to a 17-12 (12-8 SSC) and a home, first-round playoff game.  While she will be working with all players, the Jacksonville, Fla. native will concentrate with the Wing position group.  Off the court, Carter will oversee recruiting and scouting.
 
"Nola has spent the past 12 months passionately absorbing what it takes to help this program grow" said Head Coach Anthony Crocitto.  "I am confident that she will become one of the better assistants in Women's Basketball over the next couple years. This group needs leadership and I will be relying on Coach Carter to help me lead this talented group of women."
