  • Saint Leo has won 13-straight matches against the Panthers of Florida Tech. The last loss by the Lions in the series came back on Oct. 5, 2012 in Melbourne, a 3-2 setback, which snapped another double-digit Lions' win streak in the series. The Lions swept the Panthers 3-0 in both meetings last season.
  • Senior Anilise Fitzi continues to lead the Lions this season in both kills and blocks. She now has 157 kills over the first 15 matches and 64 blocks, 24 more than her nearest teammate. She also ranks second in the SSC in hitting percentage at .382.
  • Embry-Riddle enters the weekend coming off its first loss of the season as the Eagles fell at home to 25th-ranked Barry 3-1. The Eagles are now 9-1 on the year and 5-1 in SSC play. The Lions and Eagles have played four similar opponents including Barry, Florida Southern, Eckerd and Palm Beach Atlantic.
