SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo University Head Women's Basketball Coach Anthony Crocitto announced the Lions' 2018-19 schedule Friday afternoon. The Lions are coming off a season in which they achieved the second-most Sunshine State Conference victories in a season in program history and advanced to the SSC Tournament for the first time under Crocitto who is entering his third season with the program.
 
The 2018-19 slate features an exhibition against NCAA Division I foe Army, seven opponents which advanced to last season's NCAA Championship and a season-opening tournament at home.
 
The year opens with Saint Leo hosting the Gulf South/Sunshine State Conference Challenge Nov. 9-10 which will bring Shorter, Lee and Florida Southern to campus for a two-day event. It will kick-off three-straight games for the Lions against GSC opponents to open the year. Saint Leo will also participate in the Lynn University Holiday Classic Dec. 18-19 and will face a pair of Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) opponents.
 
The Lions 28-game schedule features 15 home contests including seven in 2018 and eight in 2019. Saint Leo's conference opener will take place on the road at Eckerd on Nov. 28 while the Lions host Nova Southeastern for their home conference opener on Dec. 8. Saint Leo will make just one trip outside of the state of Florida and it will be the exhibition contest against Army on Nov. 2.
