SAINT LEO, Fla. - The Saint Leo University Women's Basketball program has announced the addition of 13 student-athletes to its 2026-27 roster. Entering his second season as head coach, Charles Marshall has assembled a talented recruiting class that includes five freshmen and eight transfers. 

The Lions' newest additions represent eight states—Alabama, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia—as well as one international student-athlete from Canada. This diverse and talented class brings a wealth of experience, versatility, and competitive spirit to a team that returns a strong core from last season. 

The incoming group is expected to make an immediate impact, bringing a relentless work ethic, a team-first mentality, and a passion for competing at a high level. Combined with the program's experienced returners, this class adds depth, athleticism, and excitement as the Lions prepare for the 2026-27 campaign. 

With a renewed sense of energy and optimism, Saint Leo enters the new season focused on growth and building a championship-caliber culture. The program is embracing this new chapter with enthusiasm, determination, and a commitment to improving every day. 

Here's an inside look at the Lions' 2026-27 recruiting class. 

 

Coach Marshall: "Aniyah is a dynamic, high-energy player who is a perfect fit for our style of play.  She competes with great pace, makes outstanding decisions in transition, and has an eagerness to learn and improve every day. We're excited for her to join the Saint Leo family for the 26-27 season." 

 

Coach Marshall: "Kynna is an exceptionally talented player with tremendous upside and limitless potential. She possesses the skill set, and competitive drive to become a special player in our program. We're excited to help her reach her full potential as a student-athlete in our program." 

  

Coach Marshall: ""One of the things we love most about Jamia is her versatility and toughness.  She impacts the game in so many ways, whether it's scoring, defending, rebounding, or making winning plays.  Her ability to play multiple positions gives us tremendous flexibility within our system, and we're excited to see the impact she'll make from day one." 

  

Coach Marshall: "Adrionna has all the tools to be a highly successful player at the collegiate level. With her work ethic, determination, and commitment to improving every day set her apart. We truly believe her best basketball is ahead of her, and we're excited to help her reach her full potential here at Saint Leo." 

 

Coach Marshall: "From the first time we evaluated Caroline, we knew she was the type of player who could help elevate our program.  She combines talent, toughness, and a relentless competitive spirit, making her a perfect fit for the culture we're building at Saint Leo.  We're excited to welcome her to the Lion family and can't wait to see the impact she'll make on our program."

Coach Marshall: "Milly has enjoyed an outstanding high school career, but we believe her best basketball is still ahead of her. She has that 'dawg' mentality every coach looks for-she competes, embraces challenges, and refuses to back down.  Our staff is excited to help her continue developing into an impact player at the collegiate level."  

  

 

Coach Marshall: "Kelsey is a great fit for our style of play. She is a high energy player who brings speed and athleticism to our team. We are looking forward to her development and impact this season." 

 

Coach Marshall: "Lena is a high-IQ guard who is very skilled. Her skill set and IQ will allow her to be an immediate threat. We are thrilled that she chose Saint Leo and we look forward to working with her."
