SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo University Athletics saw 101 student-athletes named as recipients of the D2 Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) Academic Achievement Award when the association's list of honorees was announced Thursday, August 16.
The D2ADA Academic Achievement Award honors Division II student-athletes who have completed four semesters of post-secondary academic work and have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.00 scale.
In total, 10,116 student-athletes from 162 institutions were recognized for the 2017-18 Academic Achievement Awards. The Sunshine State Conference saw 567 student-athletes earn the honor from six institutions. Rollins led the way with 179 recipients followed by Florida Southern (105), Saint Leo (101), Barry (77), Tampa (74), and Eckerd with 31.
Men's Lacrosse and Men's Soccer led the pack for the Green and Gold with 10 recipient's each where women's swimming saw nine student-athletes garner the award.
