Track Notes
  • Saint Leo will split teams as the Lions will compete in both the Jesse Owens Classic at Ohio State University, as well as the Duke Invite at Duke University.
  • Last time out, Colett Rampf was busy notching another win under her belt with a first place finish in the 3,00m steeplechase. Rampf stopped the clock at 10:34.39 to lead the field. Juniors Alyssa Bayliff and Laura Tobin finished second and sixth respectively, in the same event. Both runners set new PRs, with Bayliff shaving off four seconds from her previous time and Tobin cutting off 25 seconds.
  • On the men's side, freshman Tadgh McGinty topped his personal best in the 3,000m steeplechase as well as he took fourth in the event after crossing the line in 9:36.82. The time was 15 seconds faster than the mark he set last week at the Embry-Riddle Spikes Classic. Graduate student Joshua Sickinger finished three spots back in seventh at 9:51.71.

Baseball Notes
  • No. 17 Baseball are coming fresh off a three-game sweep against Rollins (8-2, 8-4, 5-0).
  • The Lions have had nearly a week's rest before they travel to Melbourne this weekend for a three-game series versus the Panthers.
  • Jared Morello leads the team in batting average at .377, while Peyton Isaacson has shouldered the offensive load leading the team in hits, doubles, home runs, and RBIs.
  • Isaacson leads the team with 40 RBIs on the season, but Chase Turner, Zach Scott, and Brett Coffel are all hot on his heels with 38, 37, and 36 respectively.
  • Jordan Pendleton had another quality outing in his last start going seven strong allowing just five hits and 1 walk, while striking out nine. Pendleton leads the team in innings pitched (62.2), strikeouts (56), while sporting a team best 5-1 record with a 3.30 ERA.
  • Florida Tech is coming in on a three-game slide after getting swept by conference foe Florida Southern (15-2, 6-3, 4-1).
  • Jacob Buser has been one of the bright spots in the Panther lineup as he leads the team in batting average (.333), doubles (18), home runs (11), and RBIs (47).
  • Jordan Murray has the best ERA on the team at 2.77. Murray has spent the majority of the time coming out of the bullpen as he has 11 appearances with just one start for a 2-2 record.

Softball Notes
  • Lions are currently on a six-game win streak after sweeping Florida Southern and Barry.
  • Saint Leo had a tough go against the Spartans last year as Tampa was able to sweep the Lions. The Lions lead the all-time series with the Spartans 64-57, while they are 5-4 with head coach Erin Kinberger at the helm.
  • Kacie Kelly, Ashley Morris, Sarah Pauscher, and Bethany Kursch continue to dominate for the Lions offensively. Kelly leads the team in batting average, runs scored, doubles, and walks. Morris is only .004 points behind Kelly for the team lead in batting average, as she does lead the team in hits with 55. Pauscher and Kursch add the power to the lineup with seven combined home runs and 50 combined RBIs.
  • The two workhorses for the Lions, Alison Mitts and Auria Mounts, are a combined 25-10 with six saves, 17 complete games, and 174 strikeouts over the 228 innings logged.
  • Tampa is coming fresh off a 2-1 series win against the conference leader Palm Beach Atlantic.
  • Bailey Phillips leads the Spartans in batting average among qualified batter at .330. The freshman has also drawn a team-high 13 walks on the year. Shelby Press, who is second on the team in batting average, leads the team in triples with two, home runs with two, and RBIs with 19.
  • The Spartans hang their pitching hat on Makaleigh Dooley. The junior has pitched 211.1 of the 272.1 innings for Tampa. Dooley has a 21-10 over her 34 appearances, where the righter has allowed 165 hits, while only walking 20 and striking out 204 batters.

Women's Lacrosse Notes
  • No. 20 Saint Leo suffered second half woes on Wednesday against Tampa that led to the surrender of a 12-6 final. The Lions held a 6-3 halftime lead thanks to Delaney Chrisco's pair of goals. Erin Davis showcased 12 saves.
  • Junior attacker, Leslie Ferguson, is one point away from earning her 100th career point. Ferguson leads the season's offense with 72 points (58g, 14a).
  • Kaylah Walstad enters the game with 47 points (31g, 16a).
  • In the crease, Erin Davis has tallied 105 saves posting a .463 save percentage and 10.75 goals against average.
  • The day will begin celebrating the program's senior class of 2018: Abbie RossAmanda CoppoloKaylynn Purdy and Katherine Larson.
  • No. 5 Florida Tech picked up its fifth win in a row Saturday night as the Panthers soared past Sunshine State Conference foe Embry-Riddle, 23-9.
  • Senior Sara Grenier led the Panther's offense with six points on five goals and an assist.
  • On the season, Lauren Tybor has compiled 71 points (43g, 28a) followed by Caroline Dunleavy with 70 points (35g, 35a).
  • In goal, Stephanie Stuart has registered a 14-1 record collecting 103 saves posting a .430 save percentage and a 9.40 goals against average.

Men's Lacrosse Notes
  • No. 5 Men's Lacrosse stays perfect in the conference thanks to a last second goal by Kyle Pauwels lifting the Lions over Tampa yesterday.
  • The stakes are high for Saturday's game as the winner will walk away as the Sunshine State Conference Regular Season Champion and will have the right to host the conference tournament.
  • Pauwels leads the team in goals with 43 on the year, while Jake Gilmour is tops on the team with 34 assists and 60 points in the 2018 campaign.
  • The three headed attack of Pauwels, Gilmour, and Charlie Kurtenbach have helped carry the Lions to their 12-1 record. The trio has registered 174 out of the 317 total points this year.
  • Tom Tatarian continues to be rock solid in the cage. The redshirt junior has tallied 173 saves on the year, while allowing just 9.10 goals per game. Tatarian is tied for most wins in a season with 12, along with being second in saves per game and third in total saves for in single season record books at Saint Leo.
  • Florida Tech is coming off its own late game-winner against Florida Southern 15-14 last Saturday.
  • Logan Sweeney who put in the game-winner for the Panthers currently leads the team in shots with 84 on the season. Sweeney is second on the team in points (33), behind teammate Carson Clough (34).
  • The reigning SSC Defensive Player of the Week, Daniel Flock is coming off a 19 save performance against the Mocs last week. Flock is coming in with an 8-4 record with 148 saves on the year.
