SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo men and women's swimming teams claimed a first place finish in every event on Saturday against Rollins. The men's team topped Rollins, 196-62.

Paul Mangen noted the quick turnaround after yesterday's meet at Florida Southern, "I thought we were a little flat on Friday. The effort was there once they jumped in the pool but we just weren't executing well. When you come back and swim well the next day, it shows that you are in pretty good shape and that you are doing a lot of the right things. They corrected a lot of things from last night to today, which is hard to do."
Henrik Dahrendorff placed first in all three of his events; 400 Yard Individual Medley (4:08.31), 50 Yard Breaststroke (25.83), and 100 Yard Breaststroke (56.45).
Georgios Veliadis all topped three events. Veliadis placed first in the 50 Yard Butterfly (22.92), 100 Yard Butterfly (50.36), and the 100 Yard Individual Medley (52.83).
Luka Vulic tallied two top finishes, in the 200 Yard Freestyle (1:45.38) and 100 Yard Freestyle (47.47).
To wrap up the big day, the Lions'Â two 200 Yard Freestyle Relay teams were neck-and-neck.
Christian Cioffi, Mikicin Milosz,
Christopher Paiva, and Kane Klimczak in lane five edged teammates Hunter Bain,
Michael Southward, Bradley Hyde, and
Matija Rafaj in lane three by 0.04 seconds; 1:28.27 to 1:28.31.
The Lions return to action on Friday, January 26 to host Tampa at 3:00 p.m. during Saint Leo's senior day.
