Men’s swimming has first place sweep in win over Rollins

WINTER PARK, Fla. – Saint Leo men's swimming took first place in all 14 events to complete a 207.5-54.5 victory over Rollins College, Friday afternoon at the Alfond Swimming Pool.

Matija Rafaj and Georgios Veliadis each paced the Lions with a pair of individual wins, with Rafaj also contributing to one relay victory.

Rafaj won the 1000 Freestyle (9:33.75) and the 500 Freestyle (4:39.24), and swam the third leg of Saint Leo's winning team in the 200 Free Relay (1:27.12). Veliadis took first place in both the 200 Freestyle (1:42.13) and the 100 Butterfly (50.02).

The meet served as the final tune-up before the Lions begin their mid-season slate of invitationals, starting with the Florida Tech Panther Invitational on November 17-20 in Melbourne, Fla.
