SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo University Men's basketball team begins its postseason run Tuesday as the Lions welcome seventh-seeded Rollins to the Marion Bowman Activities Center for the Sunshine State Conference Quarterfinals.
Saint Leo (22-9, 13-7 SSC) enters postseason red-hot, winning seven of its last eight games. With the fourth-highest field percentage (.518) and 16th-best scoring average (84.2 points a game), the Lions will look to its leading scorers in Fifth-year forward
Marty Jackson and guard
Kanon Koster who both lead with 18 or more points a contest on the season.
Rollins (14-14, 10-10 SSC) has maintained a .500 record for the entire season, but the Tars are a team no one underestimates. Led by Hutton Yenor who is third in the Sunshine State Conference in scoring average (20.1 points), Rollins has been in every contest this year, posting a scoring margin of -1.5.
The Green & Gold will have its hands full Tuesday night, as the conference's second-best field defense will try to hold a team that has shot 51% or better against them in both regular season meetings.
Tipoff at the Marion Bowman Activities Center is set for 7 p.m. Fans unable to attend can follow the live action from the links below:
