MIAMI SHORES, Fla.- The Saint Leo baseball team traveled to Miami Shores to open up conference play against Barry University. The Bucs defeated the Lions, 7-3. With the loss the Lions fall to 4-5 on the season.
The Lions would get on the board first in the top of the third inning.
Dylan Mass would get on base with a two out single up the middle. After stealing second, Mass would find himself scoring on a
Bobby Sparling RBI single down the left field line.
Barry would steal the lead from Saint Leo scoring in the bottom of the fourth and fifth innings.
Mass would tie the game for the Lions in the top of the fifth with a two out RBI single to left to score
Brennan Reback.
Mike Wyman would hit a solo homer in the top of the eighth inning, scoring the Lions third running.
The Lions will be back in action tomorrow, for a doubleheader against Barry University. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
