CLEARWATER, Fla. – The Saint Leo men and women's swim teams competed in day one of the 2022 Sunshine State Conference Championships on Wednesday inside the Long Center.
 
The men's program started off the five-day championship capturing a bronze medal in the 800 freestyle relay. Devin Green, Carlos Nava, Szymon Leszega, and Jakub Kwasny finished third with a time of 6:35.13. The podium finish topped the fourth place Rollins relay team by .25 seconds (6:35.38).

Day two of the championship is set to begin at 10:00 a.m. Thursday morning and run throughout the day.
