LAKELAND, Fla. – No. 5 Saint Leo men's golf concluded play on the par-72 7,065-yard course for the final 18-holes of the Matlock Invitational at Lone Palm Golf Club Tuesday.
Francois Cilliers led the Green and Gold with an eighth-place finish at five-over 221 for the tournament.

As a team, the Lions shot a 300 for the final round to finish at 908 (+44) and in eighth place.

Cilliers carded a final round 76 (+4) to add to his 36-hole score of 145 (+1) for a 54-hole score of 221 (+5).
Jake Nash was consistent and added just two strokes to his total for a tournament score of 224 (+8) after a final 76 (+4) Tuesday for a 16
th place finish.

Alberto Castagnara fired off the low round of the day for the Green and Gold at even-par 72 to finish in 23
rd at 10-over 226.

No. 2/3Â West Florida held on for the team title while the Argonauts' Alejandro Restrepo took home medalist honors after surpassing his teammate with a final round 70 (-2) for a tournament score of 214 (-2).

Keeping Our Lions Healthy & Safe
Saint Leo University Athletics is keeping our student-athletes healthy and safe by following a number of measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This includes having student-athletes tested or screened on a regular basis, traveling in smaller groups, holding competitions without fans in attendance, avoiding overnight trips, and wearing masks when not competing. These safety standards meet those set by the NCAA Division II and the Sunshine State Conference President's Council. At Saint Leo University, the COVID-19 Incident Command Team also reviews the teams' safety protocol and monitors adherence on a regular basis.
