SAINT LEO, Fla. – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) rounded off the month of June announcing the 2020 Warrior and New Balance Division II Scholar All-Americans. Philip Buque, CJ Stowell, and Ethan Ticehurst were three of the honored among the 26 total recipients. The three awards mark the most allotted after a single season in the Lions' program history.
 
As an attacker in the Green and Gold, Buque compiled a trio of USILA Team of the Week honors, earned the title of an All-Sunshine State Conference First Team honoree, and was twice named the conference Player of the Week. Meanwhile, the criminal justice major was earning excellent marks in the classroom as a three-time SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll recipient. In addition, he was named a team captain for the 2020 season.
 
Stowell added the elite Scholar All-America title to his three-year career as a starting attackman. The transfer made himself right at home at Saint Leo while studying criminal justice. This week's title adds to his already impressive stack of accolades. Stowell was named earlier this Spring to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 5 At-Large prestigious list. He is also a three-time Saint Leo Presidents' Club member, two-time SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll honoree, and D2ADA Academic Achievement Award winner.
 
Ticehurst rounded off the three Lion 2020 Warrior and New Balance Division II Scholar All-Americans. The long-stick midfielder was also named team captain for the 2020 season. Ticehurst's All-America title follows two Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-American honors, three All-SSC honors, and a 2018 Minto Cup Championship title. The Coquitlam, British Columbia native paired his success on the field with two appearances on the SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll as a biology major at Saint Leo.
