SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo tennis teams are inked to open the 2020 season this week at the Saint Leo Tennis Center. On Thursday, Feb. 6, the women's tennis team will open hosting Gustavus Adolphus starting at 3 p.m. The men's first match is slated for Sunday, Feb. 9 against Flagler starting at 11 a.m., also held in the Saint Leo Tennis Center.

The Lions are led by
Chad Berryhill who enters his fourth year at the helm of the Green and Gold. Berryhill has seen the men's program go 51-17 alongside three NCAA postseason appearances since starting at Saint Leo in October 2016. In women's action, the Green and Gold has captured a 49-20 record while earning back-to-back NCAA postseason appearances under Berryhill's direction. The Lansing, Michigan native has been decorated as a two-time Sunshine State Conference (SSC) Coach of the Year and SSC Women's Tennis Coach of the Year.

Berryhill and the men's tennis Lions enter the 2020 season
ranked fifth by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Preseason rankings. Within the SSC Preseason Poll, Saint Leo was predicted to
finish third in the conference. The women open the year
ranked sixth by the ITA, predicted to close the year
fourth in the SSC.
