SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo men's lacrosse team was polled No. 16 in the 2020 US Lacrosse Magazine's Nike Division II Preseason Poll. The Lions concluded 2019 as the Sunshine State Conference Tournament Runners-Up with a season record of 10-7, 4-3 in the SSC. The Green and Gold boasted eight All-Conference honors and a United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) / Warrior and New Balance Division II All-American in the form of
Julian Taylor.
At the helm of the No. 16 Lions is 15
th season head coach,
Brad Jorgensen, who built up the program in 2006 as the first NCAA men's lacrosse team in the State of Florida. Jorgensen returns 31 alongside 16 freshmen and a transfer for a 48-man season roster. Saturday, Feb. 8 marks the season opener against Colorado Mesa. No. 16 Saint Leo will make its first appearance in University Turf Stadium on Saturday, March 7 at 11 a.m. hosting Walsh.
