Crocitto Inks Two More to 2019-2020 Roster

SAINT LEO, Fla. – Head Coach Anthony Crocitto and the Saint Leo women's basketball team added two more Lions to the 2019-2020 roster. Nina Robinson and Casey O'Shaughnessy will put on the Green and Gold in the upcoming season.

Robinson, a junior transfer in the form of a 6'0 heads to Saint Leo after playing at Massasoit Community College where she was honored as the DIII National Player of the Week and made First Team All-Region averaging 16 points, 12 rebounds per game. "Robinson brings power and experience up front and will contribute right way," explained Crocitto. "She has an unbridled passion to compete and is very versatile on the floor."

O'Shaughnessy is the newest true freshman of the Saint Leo Lions. The 5'8 guard is a product of Bishop Kearney high school in Brooklyn, N.Y. "She is a scorer," said Crocitto. "She had an amazing high school career and will compete for playing time during her rookie season at Saint Leo." O'Shaughnessy tallied 1,871 points as a four-year starter. She earned the prestigious titles of GCHSAA Tablet First Team member (2019, 2018, 2017, 2016), GCHSAA MVP NYC Mayors Cup (2019), All-State First Team member (2019) and All-City (2019, 2018, 2017, 2016).

Robinson and O'Shaughnessy join freshman trio Lenise Santiago, Amanda Ulrich and Summer Quigley who signed a National Letter of Intent back in November 2018.

Santiago, a local student-athlete from Tampa, Fla., is 5'9 at the guard position. "She will add length to our guard position," said Crocitto.

Ulrich hails from Secaucus, N.J. putting on the Green and Gold as a 5'9 guard. "Ulrich will be an immediate impact player," noted Crocitto. "She can hurt you in a variety of ways as a true triple threat winner and solid defender."

Quigley joins the squad after a successful high school career in East Lake, Fla. Crocitto said the 6'0 forward "will give us length and compete to play at the four spot during her freshman campaign."
