SAINT LEO, Fla – The No.6 Saint Leo men's tennis team defeated Post 7-0 on Saturday morning, earning their fourth sweep of the season and improving their record to 10-3.
Saint Leo earned the double match point, winning every pair. Doubles Flight 1
Aurel Ciocanu and
Willem Van Den Akker won 6-1. Doubles Flight 2
Bruno Faletto and
Leonardo Vega secured a 6-2 win, while doubles Flight 3
Ghali Mensour and
David Perez defeated their opponents 6-3.
Leading off for the Lions in the number one singles spot was #40
Bruno Faletto, earning a 6-2, 6-0 victory. Mensour won second singles 6-0, 6-1.
Aurel Ciocanu played at third singles and brought home a win with a score of 6-1, 6-3.
Noel Kunz defeated his opponent 6-4, 6-2.
Willem Van Den Akker rolled over his opponent 6-2, 6-3.
David Perez earned a 6-1, 6-4 win.
The Lions return to action at home on Tuesday, March 19 at 3:00 p.m. against Sunshine State Conference opponent Florida Tech.
