SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo University's Director of Volleyball
Sam Cibrone announced the Lions' 2018 schedule Wednesday morning. The Lions are coming off their third-straight 20-plus win season and their fifth-straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Saint Leo finished last season in the NCAA South Region Semifinals with an impressive 23-7 record.

The 2018 schedule features seven opponents who appeared on the final 2017 AVCA Coaches Poll including a pair of top-five non-conference opponents, No. 3 Southwest Minnesota State and No. 4 Minnesota Duluth.

The Lions open the season with back-to-back tournaments including the Flagler Saints Invitational and the Colorado Premiere Challenge hosted by Regis. Saint Leo will face Findlay, Erskine, Minnesota Duluth and host Flagler August 24-25 before traveling to Colorado to face Colorado Christian, Southwest Minnesota State and two opponents yet to be determined.

A trip to Eckerd signals the first SSC match of the year on Friday, September 7. The nationally-ranked Mocs of Florida Southern will open up the home slate for Saint Leo on Saturday, September 8. A road trip to Barry (9/14) and Lynn (9/15) is next on the agenda for the Lions before a four-match stretch at home.

Saint Leo hosts Florida Tech (9/21), Embry-Riddle (9/22), Nova Southeastern (9/28) and Palm Beach Atlantic (9/29) on back-to-back weekends. The Lions then make the return trip to Florida Southern on October 2 and then head to Rollins on October 5.

The Lions travel to Tampa on October 6 before hosting Lynn and Barry October 12-13. The annual NCAA Regional Crossover Tournament will take place October 19-20 in Orlando. Saint Leo will play four matches over the two days against yet to be determined opponents.

Following the tournament, the Lions will close out the year with three matches at home and four on the road. Saint Leo hosts Eckerd (10/23), Tampa (11/9) and Rollins (11/10) while traveling to Embry-Riddle (10/26), Florida Tech (10/27), Palm Beach Atlantic (11/2) and Nova Southeastern (11/3).
