SAINT LEO, Fla. – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) announced the 2018 Division II All-American teams on Friday. The USILA honored three Saint Leo Lions; first-team selection
Jake Gilmour, second-team selection
Thomas Tatarian, and honorable mention
Jake Bye.
Senior attacker,
Jake Gilmour, has put away 36 goals, including three game-winners, and 39 assists for a current 75-point campaign. Gilmour enters the NCAA Division II Championship game shooting .424 percent, placing .706 percent of his shots on frame. The Pickering, Ontario native has added 38 ground balls and caused eight turnovers to his season's performance.
Redshirt-junior goal keeper,
Thomas Tatarian, was tabbed All-American second-team for his record shattering season. Tatarian has collected 249 saves while facing 700 shots in 18 games. The Shoreham, N.Y., native steps into Gillette Stadium with a .604 save percentage, 9.24 goals against average, and a 16-2 record.
Senior defender,
Jake Bye, earned honorable mention for his work as a starter in 15 games. The Port Coquitlam, British Columbia native grinded out 33 ground balls and caused 25 turnovers.
