SSC Championship Tournament Bracket


SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Sunshine State Conference announced the 2018 Championship Tournament schedule starting on Thursday, April 26 at the University Turf Stadium on the campus of Saint Leo University.
 
Now 13-1, showcasing an undefeated season in the SSC earning a 7-0 SSC record, the Saint Leo Men's Lacrosse Lions were named the tournament's first-seed clinching the SSC regular season title at Florida Tech on Saturday, 16-13. Florida Tech (9-5, 6-1 SSC) was selected as the second-seed followed by third-seed Tampa (13-4, 5-2 SSC) and Rollins as the fourth-seed (7-6, 4-3 SSC).
 
Two rounds of semifinals will kick-off the tournament on April 26.  Second-seed Florida Tech and third-seed Tampa will face each other at 3:00 p.m. followed by first-seed Saint Leo and fourth-seed Rollins at 7:00 p.m.
 
The Championship Final is scheduled on Sunday, April 29 at 1:00 p.m. at the Saint Leo University Turf Stadium.

The 2018 Saint Leo Season

• Saint Leo enters the postseason on a nine-game win streak.
• Jake Gilmour leads the Lions' season point count with 63 (29g, 34a).
• Charlie Kurtenbach has tallied 59 points (36g, 23a) followed by Kyle Pauwels with 58 points (44g, 14a).
• Jordan Williams has won 136-of-287 faceoffs picking up 54 ground balls.
• Midfielder Julian Taylor has picked up 41 ground balls.
• Defender Ethan Ticehurst leads the team's caused turnover count with 19.
• Thomas Tatarian has had a stellar season in goal. The redshirt-junior has earned 195 saves, posting a .600 save percentage, while keeping his goals against average to 9.29.
