  • Saint Leo travels to the University of Florida for the Tom Jones Memorial this Friday.
  • Seniors Niclas Bez and Lauren Csubak of the Saint Leo track team competed in the 800m Saturday afternoon at the Embry-Riddle Spikes Classic in Daytona Beach, Fla. Bez won the event on the men's side with a time of 1:52.46 while Csubak took sixth for the women with a 2:17.82.
  • Bez JUST missed the NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the 800m by three tenths of a second. The 1:52.46 was a personal best for Bez in that event.

Baseball Notes
  • Baseball is looking to bounce back from a rough outing last time out versus Nova Southeastern.
  • The Lions will play their first game in five days after Tuesday's contest against Valdosta State got canceled due to weather.
  • Peyton Isaacson continues lead the Lions in hits, doubles, home runs, and RBIs. Jared Morello has turned it up a notch hitting 6-for-12 last series to bump his batting average up to .380, which is tops on the team.
  • Jake Sims has been a great utility player for the Lions posting a team-low 1.23 ERA and striking out nine batters over 7.1 innings pitched. From the plate, Sims has chipped in with four doubles, four home runs, and 13 RBIs.
  • Rollins is currently riding a nine-game slide after getting swept by Florida Southern, Nova Southeastern, and Eckerd.
  • Brendan Brundage and Nick Breen lead the team in batting average at .336, while Brian Brooker and Bryce Peterson add the pop to the lineup with their combined 17 home runs and 73 RBIs.

Men's Lacrosse Notes
  • No. 6 Saint Leo carries a six-game winning streak. The last time the Lions saw six straight wins was in the 2016 season, during which the Lions advanced to the Sunshine State Conference semi-finals.
  • The Lions' extended their streak rallying for a 12-10 comeback decision at Florida Southern on Wednesday. The comeback was led by Charlie Kurtenbach  with five points (4g, 1a) followed by Kyle Pauwels with four goals and Jake Gilmour with four points (1g, 3a).
  • On the season, Gilmour enters the game with 56 points (25g, 31a) followed by Pauwels with 54 points (40g, 14a). Kurtenbach has tallied 51 points (29g, 22a). Thomas Tatarian has accumulated 151 saves facing 398 shots. The 10-1 Redshirt-junior goalkeeper enters the game with a 9.02 goals allowed average, holding a .611 save percentage.
  • Before the faceoff, the men's lacrosse program will honor its 14 graduating Lions: #4 Jeff Heim, #5 Jason D'Aoust, #11 Jake Bye, #13 Nick Argitis, #16 Ryan Kolesnikov, #18 Bruce Preeschl, #24 Nick Bradburn, #25 Tucker Langmead, #29 Anthony Visintin, #31 Jake Gilmour, #36 Joe Serrecchia, #42 Kyle Pauwels, #44 Conner Knaresboro, and #47 Zach Lysyk.
  • Lynn's offensive outburst against Palm Beach Atlantic leading to a 21-4 win on Wednesday lifted the Fighting Knight's overall record to 9-4, 2-3 in the SSC, extending the program's win streak to two.
  • On the season, Mikey Urso leads the Fighting Knight's offense with 39 points (16g, 23a) followed by Xander Cosenza with 32 points (25g, 7a) and Nick Howard with 31 points (22g, 9a).
  • In goal, Collin McClelland enters the game with a 9-4 record registering 87 saves posting a .468 save percentage and 9.42 goals against average.

Men's Tennis Notes
  • The No. 1 Saint Leo men's tennis team clinched the 2018 Sunshine State Conference regular season champion title on Wednesday at Eckerd. The Lions cleaned up the Tritons 9-0 on their way to taking the title. The win raised the Green & Gold overall record to 18-0, 7-0 in the SSC.
  • No. 1 Lions will bring to a close the regular season at the Saint Leo Tennis Center against No. 21 Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday. Before the match, Saint Leo will celebrate and honor its five graduating student-athletes: Francisco Aparicio, Jaime Bueno, James Defusto, Thomas Grinberg and Vincent Suillerot.
  • No. 1, no.1, Thomas Grinberg remains perfect with an 18-0 singles record. No. 13, no. 2 Vincent Suillerot enters the match 14-2 overall while No. 32, no. 3 Jaime Bueno holds a stainless 16-0 mark.
  • No. 2, no. 1 doubles team, Thomas Grinberg and Vincent Suillerot enter the day on an eight match win streak with a season mark of 14-3.
  • No. 19 Palm Beach Atlantic men's tennis won their second straight on Saturday, defeating Rollins 6-3.
  • Pato Zarazua mans the no. 1 singles spot for the Sailfish with a 10-7 record. In doubles, Zarazua and Pietro de Silva have taken seven no. 2 matches, they are 8-2 in no. 1 competition for an overall record of 15-2 together.

Women's Tennis Notes
  • The No. 9 Saint Leo women's tennis team shut down Eckerd 9-0 on Wednesday. The Sunshine State Conference win raised the Lions' overall record to 15-5, 6-3 in the SSC. No. 29, no. 1 singles, Marta Vicens Miquel posted a perfect 6-0, 6-0 win. No. 6 Sophie Vlietstra joined her with a stainless 6-0, 6-0 performance.
  • Saturday marks the close of the Lions' regular season. Before the match, Saint Leo will celebrate and honor its graduating senior, Andrada Gordan.
  • On the season, No. 29, no. 1 Marta Vicens Miquel is 13-7 overall followed by no. 2 Kristyna Jurkova with a 17-3 season mark. In doubles, No. 29, no.1 partners, Maja Pindelska and Madeleine Gauthier enter the match 8-6 together.
  • Palm Beach Atlantic women's tennis dropped a road Sunshine State Conference match on Thursday, falling 9-0 to the No. 1 ranked Bucs from Barry University.
  • On the season, Bella Mermersky carries a 10-8 singles mark highlighting a 5-2 no. 2 record. In doubles, no. 1 Taylor Conti and Yuliia Russu are 11-7 together.

Women's Lacrosse Notes
  • No. 15 Saint Leo fell to No. 4 Florida Southern 18-3 on Wednesday in Lakeland, Fla. The bitter Moccasin bite lowered the Lions' overall record to 11-3, 2-1 in the Sunshine State Conference. Abbie Ross found the back of the Mocs' net twice. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Erin Davis racked up 13 saves facing 43 shots.
  • On the season, Leslie Ferguson has racked up 66 points (53g, 13a) shooting a .646 percent. Sarah Pierson has become a dominate force at the restart, taking 84 draw controls and picking up 43 ground balls. In goal, Erin Davis has snagged 82 saves posting a .469 save percentage with a 9.80 goals allowed average.
  • No. 6/No. 9 Rollins' 11-game win streak was snapped by the Florida Tech Panthers on Saturday. Leading the Tars in goals and overall points was sophomore Hannah Ashton, who netted four goals and added one assist for five points.  Kallie German scored two goals and added two assists for four points, while Paige Brock notched a hat trick on the day. 
  • With a save at the 26:24 mark in the second half, senior goalie Malorie Olin became the program's all-time leader in career saves, notching 464 saves to surpass former standout Elyse De Lisle who racked up 463 in her career. Olin finished the day with eight saves, moving her career total to 466, and added four ground balls.
  • On the season, Kallie German leads the offense with 81 points (53g, 28a) followed by Hannah Ashton with 51 points (49g, 2a). Ashton (34 DC) and Maggie Dougherty (35 DC) have shared the draw control responsibilities.
