Track Notes
  • Saint Leo returns to the track as the Lions look to continue shattering records. 
  • In their last out, the men's track team broke three records; Niclas Bez won the 1000 meter race while resetting the Saint Leo school record to 2:27.31. The record was previously held by senior Anthony Deleva. Freshman Andrew Sands recorded a 7.55 second time in the 60 meter race, placing 28th, while downing Saint Leo's previous school record. In the high jump, Paul Mccrimon III finished in ninth place with a 1.80m mark, which reset the Green and Gold record.
  • On the women's side, Lauren Csubak 2:18.24 fourth place time in the 800 meter race bested former record 2:18.27, previously held by Andrea Maxwell. Neliah Wilson reset the 60 meter record to 9.08 in a 23rd place finish.

Women's Lacrosse Notes
  • Saint Leo's defense posted its third consecutive game holding opponents to under ten goals. In Saturday's 19-7 win over Davenport, Delaney Chrisco shifted roles from midfielder to defender for the first half. During those first 30 minutes, Chrisco and the Saint Leo defense allowed only eight shots, three goals while earning 11-of-11 clear attempts. Switching back to her regular position for the second half, she scored two goals and earned an assist. She picked up four ground balls and caused four turnovers in her dynamic day.
  • Sabrina Sanacore led the Lions' scoring with five goals off eight shots. Leslie Ferguson's showcased three goals, six ground balls and two caused turnovers.
  • On the season, Ferguson leads the team's point count with 14 from 10 goals, four assists. She is followed by Kaylah Walstad with 13 points from six goals, seven assists.
  • Belmont Abbey hosts the Lions with a 3-1 overall record. On Wednesday, Marin Felsoci scored six times as the Crusaders earned a 15-12 victory over Catawba College. Anne Brannon made 15 saves in goal.  The Abbey defense forced 23 Catawba turnovers.
  • On the season, Rebecca Luca has quickly racked up 22 points scoring 15 goals, earning seven assists. Marin Felscoci follows with 21 points after four games, scoring 18 goals and assisting in three.
  • Saint Leo will stay on the road for a quick turnaround to face Lenoir-Rhyne on Sunday.
  • Lenior-Rhyne earned its first win against Newberry on Wednesday (16-6) after falling to Belmont Abbey (12-11) and Mount Olive (11-7).
  • Lenior-Rhyne's offense is led by Cathleen Gaffney with eight goals, six assists and Gabby Sousa with nine goals and one assist.

Baseball Notes
  • No. 18 Baseball is coming home after sweeping the Lynn Fighting Knights 10-6 (10 inn.), 7-4, and 15-6 last weekend. The 3-game sweep of Lynn pushed the Lions win streak to six.
  • In the most recent NCBWA poll, Saint Leo jumped up to the 18th spot after receiving votes the week before.
  • Peyton Isaacson notched his first SSC player of the week after hitting .467 with three doubles and two home runs including a grandslam in the Lions' 15-6 win.
  • The 10-2 Lions have been lead offensively by their junior catch, Brett Coffel. Coffel will be coming into the weekend with a .388 batting average, three homeruns, and 13 RBIs to his credit. Isaacson leads the team in home runs, RBIs, and slugging percentage.
  • Tyler Bauman leads the team in innings pitched with 22.2 and strikeouts with 22. Over that span, the lefty has given up 10 earned runs over his four starts.
  • Peyton Isaacson continues to deal from the bullpen appearing in six games, recording six saves, while striking out seven batters.
  • Barry is coming with a 4-8 record after going 1-2 versus Florida Southern last weekend.
  • Andrew Rapoza leads the team in qualified batting average at .357, while Ryan Baldwin leads the team with three home runs and 11 RBIs.

Softball Notes
  • No. 8 Softball hits the road to Dayton Beach to take on Embry-Riddle. The Lions enter the series at 14-3 where the Eagles are 12-3.
  • Saint Leo earned a pair of walk off against Flagler College on Tuesday 4-3 (10 inns.) and 11-3 (6 inns.). Bailey McKenna pushed home both winning runs with an RBI single in game one and a hit by pitch in game two.
  • The Lions moves up two spots in the latest NFCA poll and remains the only team in the top 25 represented by the Sunshine State Conference.
  • Kacie Kelly and Ashley Morris continue to be a great 1-2 punch in the top of the Lions lineup as they lead Saint Leo in nearly every offensive category.
  • Alison Mitts is a perfect 6-0 in the circle for the Lions where she has struckout 48 batters over 48.1 innings.
  • For Embry-Riddle, B Limon leads the team in batting average, doubles, and RBIs.
  • Iiona Andringa has been the Eagles workhorse pitching 61.1 innings and posting a 7-3 record. The Netherlands native has given up 48 hits, 11 earned runs, and 17 walks while striking out 68.

Men's Lacrosse Notes
  • The, then, No. 15 Saint Leo men's lacrosse used a 7-0 start to upset No. 7 New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) before holding on for an 18-10 win over the visiting Bears.
  • The USILA top 15 showdown raised Saint Leo's national ranking to No. 11.
  • The national contest marked a new record for Saint Leo's single game record book. With 24 saves, goalie Thomas Tatarian set the program's single game save record after facing 48 shots in the full 60 minutes of play. Tatarian picked up two more saves than previous record-holders, Austin Ford (2006) and David Erdman (2007).
  • Jake Gilmour racked up six points with four goals, two assists.
  • Both Tatarian and Gilmour were named Sunshine State Conference Players of the Week and USILA Team of the Week for their work against the NYIT Bears.
  • On the season, Gilmour leads the Lions' point count with 24 from 12 goals and 12 assists. Charlie Kurtenbach enters the game with 18 points, scoring 15 goals, three assists. Kyle Pauwels has also tallied 18 points, scoring 10 goals, eight assists.
  • No. 16 Mount Olive was edged 6-5 by No. 19 Queens on Saturday at home.
  • On the season, Jacob Ball has netted eight goals, assisted in six for 14 points. Clark Thatcher has tallied 11 points with 10 goals, one assist. Austin Whitlow has earned 10 points from four goals, six assists.
  • In goal, Will Urban has earned four starts posting a .725 save percentage grabbing 37 saves.

Women's Tennis Notes
  • Saint Leo women's tennis looks to return to the win column after two nationally ranked losses. On Saturday against #2 Barry, Kristyna Jurkova earned the second singles in three sets; 6-1, 6-7, 10-5. Andrada Gordan defeated her sixth singles opponent, also in a three set decision; 6-2, 5-7, 10-4.
  • Flagler is coming off a split week, defeating USC Aiken (9-0), dropping a 6-3 decision to #15 Florida Southern on Tuesday.
  • Camila Ramazzini and Felicitas Runkel earned Flagler's only point in doubles with an 8-6 win over Nina Schwab and Magda Stepnik.
  • Alessandra Traub recorded a singles win as she beat Lola Asis 6-4, 4-6, 18-16. Sofia Vagaja posted a win at No. 6 over Schwab 6-3, 6-7(4), 10-4.
