Women’s Soccer adds two mid-year transfers

SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo welcomes Adriana Tirado and Hallie Hunt to the Lions' women's soccer program. Tirado transfers to Saint Leo from New Mexico State University while Hunt comes from the University of Alabama Birmingham. Both Tirado and Hunt will be featured on the 2018 roster.

Adriana Tirado is a 4'10 forward from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico who is majoring in Psychology at Saint Leo. During high school, Tirado was named Prospect Player of Puerto Rico, National Honor Society Athlete of the Year and MVP for both indoor and outdoor seasons. In club ball, Tirado earned the rights of being two time Puerto Rico Champion with Bayamon FC.

"I wanted tropical weather back and the beach," said Tirado. "Plus, with everything that happened to Puerto Rico, being closer to home was a big thing."

"My personal goals entering 2018 is to get better on and off the field. I want to mentally and physically get stronger so I can positively influence the team," concluded Tirado.

Hallie Hunt, a 5'7 defender from Williston, Florida, is majoring in biology at Saint Leo. She puts on the Green and Gold uniform after a successful career playing for Florida Rush soccer club under the direction of Erick Garcia.

"I am from Florida and going out of State was hard for me," explained Hunt. "So, I transferred closer to home. Saint Leo is less than two hours so it makes campus a great spot for me. My parents will get to come to every game."

"Coach Mario and Aaron are cool coaches. I reached out to a lot of schools nearby and really liked how they coached. My main goal is becoming a part of the team more by helping out as much as I can," said Hunt.
