WINTER PARK, Fla. – The Saint Leo University women's soccer team put together a multi-goal effort on Wednesday night in its penultimate Sunshine State Conference match of the season at Rollins. Saint Leo freshman 
Chloe Froese scored a pair of goals in a two-minute span to cut the Tars lead to one in the second half. The Green & Gold scored two goals in less than two minutes as they attempted to get back in the game. A goal in the 75th minute all but sealed a 4-2 win by Rollins. Saint Leo falls to 3-9-2 overall and 1-6-2 in SSC play.
Saint Leo totaled nine shots, five on goal, in a 4-2 Sunshine State Conference setback at Rollins. 
Chloe Froese's two goals in the second half to lead the Lions' attack, while 
Ella Van Doren and 
Chayse McGirt each added assists. Goalkeeper 
Emma Guidotti made seven saves across 90 minutes of action. The Lions earned three corner kicks while the Tars finished with five.
How It Happened: ROLLINS 4, SAINT LEO 2
Rollins jumped out to an early lead, striking in the 8th minute when Alayna Townsend scored the first of her two goals. Townsend doubled the advantage in the 18th minute off an assist from Emma Griner before the hosts extended it to 3-0 in the 29th minute on a penalty kick by Emma McMurry.
Saint Leo battled back in the second half, finding their rhythm offensively. In the 68th minute, 
Ella Van Doren played a cross to 
Chloe Froese, who finished to get the Lions on the board. Less than two minutes later, Saint Leo capitalized again when 
Chayse McGirt sent a corner kick to the front of the box that found the head of 
Chloe Froese, who buried her team leading fifth goal of the season to pull the Lions within one. The Tars answered in the 75th minute as Alice Tesser restored a two-goal cushion off another assist from Griner, sealing the 4-2 result.

Saint Leo returns home this weekend to take on the Tampa Spartans for senior day in the season finale. The Lions will honor their senior class of 2025 on Saturday prior to a 7 p.m. kick off against the Spartans.
