Volleyball Notes
- Saint Leo travels to Orlando, Fla. this weekend to take part in the South Region Crossover where they will face three Gulf South Conference opponents.
- The Lions went 1-2 last season at the crossover in Birmingham, Ala. but will face three new opponents this season.
- Freshman Cassandra Kamien was named the Sunshine State Conference Setter of the Week for her performances this past weekend against Lynn and Barry and looks to continue that momentum into the crossover. The rookie is averaging 8.68 assists per set including 10.96 per set in conference matches.
- West Georgia will be the Lions first opponent Friday night and the Wolves enter the weekend having dropped two-straight matches. The Wolves are led by McKenna Wharton who is averaging 3.39 kills per set. The Lions last faced the Wolves in 2012 at the crossover hosted at the University of Tampa. Saint Leo won that match 3-1.
- #13 West Florida opens the Lions day on Saturday. The Argonauts have lost just four matches all year including three in their first five matches of the season. They are currently carrying a 10-match win streak into Orlando and are led by Jordyn Poppen who is averaging 3.14 kills per set. The Lions and Argonauts last met in 2016 with West Florida winning 3-0 at home.
- Lee will be the Lions final opponent of the weekend. The Flames are winners of three of their last four matches and are led by Silvia Sartori who is averaging 4.31 kills per set this season including 4.75 in conference play. The Lions and Flames last met at the crossover hosted in Lakeland by Florida Southern in 2014. Saint Leo won that match 3-0.

Swimming Notes
- #14 Saint Leo men's swimming faces off against #7 Florida Southern Saturday morning while the women take on #17 Florida Southern.
- The Saint Leo women are just outside the top-25 poll as they sit third in the others receiving votes.
- The Moccasins took the dual meet last season over the Lions in Lakeland as the men won 168-96 and the women won 143-121.
- The Saint Leo men opened the season last weekend with a 166-95 victory over Florida Tech. Freshman Hampus Lovinge led the squad with three individual victories while also leading off the winning 200 medley relay.
- The Saint Leo women picked up a pair of dual victories last weekend over Lynn (128-124) and Florida Tech (151-100). Junior transfer Julia Chmielewska and sophomore transfer Paulina Majszutowicz each won a pair of individual events and also teamed up to take home the 200 medley relay.
- The Florida Southern men open their season tomorrow afternoon at Rollins for a dual meet. The Mocs took second at last season's Sunshine State Conference Championship and finished fourth at the NCAA Championships. Senior Matthew Holmes returns after picking up five All-America selections a year ago including in the 200 and 400 individual medley.
- The Florida Southern women also open their season tomorrow afternoon at Rollins for a dual meet. The Mocs took third at last season's Sunshine State Conference Championship and finished 18th at the NCAA Championships. Senior Krystal Karas returns as the most decorated athlete last season with one All-America selection and four Honorable Mentions. Â

Women's Soccer Notes
- Saint Leo and Rollins battled for 110 minutes on Wednesday, leaving the game at a 1-1 draw. Laura Hallissey notched her second goal of the season in the 18th minute. A converted penalty kick by the Tars equalized the game in the 36th minute. Julia Ortiz showcased six saves in goal.
- Carolina Solis-Deleon leads the Lions' attack with five goals. She is supported by Hallissey with a pair of goals and assists.
- Julia Ortiz has started all 13 games, seeing 1191 minutes of action. The junior goalkeeper has earned 49 saves, compiling a .681 save percentage.
- No. 9 Barry rallied for a 2-1 comeback win against Florida Tech on Wednesday. A two-goal second stanza lifted the Bucs over the Panthers. Christy Grimshaw and Molly Sharpe netted the tallies for Barry.
- Grimshaw and Sharpe both lead the Bucs offense on the season. The duo each enter the game with 10 goals, eight assists apiece.
- In goal, Melanie Ziegner has earned 11 starts, earning 22 saves for an .846 save percentage. Maddie Hart-Pomerantz has started twice, seeing four games of action in which she has stopped three, compiling a .750 save percentage.

- Saint Leo honored its four seniors (Yuga Yanagisawa, Carlos Moncayo, Michael Tinari and Haydn Dickinson before closing out the 2018 season at the Saint Leo Soccer Field on Wednesday.
- Jack Astill's first collegiate goal leveled the game at 1-1 but it wasn't enough to last against Rollins. The Tars hit the game-winner in the 50th minute of the game.
- On the season, Elias Niesigk leads the Lions' offense with six goals, four assists.
- In goal, Wessel Berenschot has stopped 34 for a .680 save percentage in nine games. Christian Evans has earned 17 saves in seven games, compiling a .515 save percentage.
- No. 19 Barry downed the Florida Memorial Lions 4-0 in non-conference action on Tuesday. Three goals were tallied in the first half followed by one in the second. Four different Buccaneers scored a goal (James Kirkham, Luca de Biase, Lorenzo Cerrai, Flavio Colasanti).
- Flavio Colasanti leads the Bucs offense with nine goals, three assists.
- In goal, Marco Sordi has started in 12 games in which he has earned 53 saves for a .791 save percentage. Aleander Kortus has started in two, stopping six shots for a .857 save percentage.
